SCHEDULE

UPDATED: THE PRECISION SCHEDULE, NOW WITH TIMES OF DAY We have so many activities we're excited to share with you planned for the weekend, but Maine isn't called the vacation state for nothing. Feel free to take your pick, opt out, whatever you want. Though it would be great if you came to the actual wedding. That might be mandatory.

Thursday daytime: Let us know if you'll heading to Maine early--we're hoping to arrange an outing to the Portland Sea Dogs game at NOON. They'll be hosting Akron! Portland's a wonderful city with a lot of good food and worth a stop on your way up or down the coast regardless. Especially down--it's great place to stop for lunch when you head south from Belfast in the morning.

Friday night, 7:30 P.M., The Alden House: We look forward to welcoming all of our guests at the Alden House, right across the street from Anne's home, a block or two from downtown Belfast, on Friday evening. We've arranged for a historical tour of the city to kick off the evening's festivities, which will wind up at the Alden House shortly after sunset, where we hope you will join us for dessert and drinks. ABOUT DINNER: it's true, the scheduling is not perfect and the tour falls within the dinner hour. We're so sorry about that! We were trying to ensure for a tour at sunset. But we wanted to make sure all our guests felt free to schedule their Friday evenings however works best for you! The dessert reception is in open-house style, so you needn't feel pressured to arrive at 7:30 sharp, that is just roughly when we hope to be heading over.

Saturday morning, 10:30 A.M., City Park: Guests will be able to choose whether they would like to participate in a softball game led by the wonderfully competitive MacDonald family, a morning hike led by the master-navigator Lee family, or a guided tour of Belfast's graveyard, led by people from the Historical Society who are related to neither bride nor groom. Each of these events will take place or depart from downtown. Details to come.

The Main Event: Saturday afternoon, 4:00 P.M., The First Church: Our wedding will commence at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at the First Church, on Court Street in downtown Belfast, followed by a dinner and dancing reception at Board Landing Farm, about three miles from downtown just on the other side of the Passagassawakeag (the stress isn't where you think) River. Ben and Anne plan to ride bikes from the ceremony to the reception but most guests, one assumes, will prefer to travel there in cars (though if you'd like to join us for the bike ride, please do, by all means). If car transport is a problem or inconvenience for you in any way, please let us know. We'll finish off the evening with a bonfire at the edge of the river at Board Landing.

Finally, on Sunday morning, 10 A.M. to Noon: Anne and her family will be hosting a pancake breakfast at Anne's home.
